Who is Steele Makes?
Hi, I’m Samantha Steele, a quilter and longarm artist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My love for quilting started in high school with a simple class project, and since then, it’s grown into both a passion and a profession. What began as a creative outlet has become a way for me to share warmth, comfort, and artistry with others.

I create and sell finished quilts, each one thoughtfully designed and crafted with attention to detail. I also offer longarm quilting services to help other quilters bring their projects to life. I take pride in adding those final stitches that transform a quilt top into a finished heirloom.

Beyond quilting, my roots and community here in Pittsburgh keep me inspired. I believe quilts are more than just blankets—they tell stories, celebrate milestones, and offer comfort that lasts for generations. It’s my joy to play a part in creating those lasting memories, whether through a quilt I’ve made myself or by helping a fellow quilter finish theirs. My local quilt guild - North Pittsburgh Quilter's Guild is an endless source of inspiration and encouragement.

I've been married since 2016 and live just north of Pittsburgh, PA with my husband and our dog, Logan. While quilting is my main passion, I also enjoy crocheting, listening to audiobooks, and all things Taylor Swift. My two nieces and nephew are my pride and joy, and they are never without a quilt to keep them warm.

Thank you for stopping by and supporting handmade work. I’d love to stitch something beautiful for you.
